NMC Graduate Support Director is Nominated for Prestigious Award

Nativity Prep Academy's Director of Graduate Support, Xochitl Alvarez has been nominated for San Diego Magazine's Celebrating Women Award in the Education Pioneer category!

Xochitl has been at Nativity for over twenty years serving previously as a teacher and in admissions. As the Director of Graduate Support, she implemented GSP beginning in sixth grade to fully prepare students academically, socially, and culturally for college. Knowing that for first-generation students, family support is crucial, she expanded the program to include family education about how to support their students on the journey to a college degree.

Congratulations to Xochitl on this honor; it is well-deserved. Click here to read the full announcement.

We Welcome St. Ignatius Loyola Academy to the NativityMiguel Coalition

We are excited to officially welcome St. Ignatius Loyola Academy in Baltimore into NativityMiguel Coalition!  We were honored to have this amazing school join the Coalition in July.  St. Ignatius Loyola Academy hit the ground running by joining us at our National Conference at Boston College last month, fellowshiping with and learning from our other member schools in attendance.

The Nativity Model is based on a commitment to delivering quality, affordable, and faith-based education through an extended day and year academic schedule and comprehensive support for students transitioning to high school and beyond. Our schools tirelessly work to educate and support over 3,800 students across 19 States and Canada as they become their best, authentic selves.

St. Ignatius Loyola Academy joining the Coalition allows us to reconnect with a veteran leader in our community, Alex Zequeira.  Alex was a founding Principal and past President of one of our sister schools- Nativity School of Worcester, and we are excited to have St. Ignatius Loyola Academy benefit from his expertise.

The Nativity Model works. We look forward to amplifying the great things being done at St. Ignatius Loyola Academy in Baltimore through its membership as a Coalition school.
